广东太阳GG检测是UL美华授权的第三方检测机构，可提供UL498插头插座UL认证检测和手艺咨询效劳。接下来为各人先容UL498与UL817\UL498A的区别、UL498插座的分类、UL498适用规模、常用术语、常见产品主要结构问题及常见产品的测试项目。

1. UL498插头/座与UL817插头/座及UL498A的简陋区别
UL498的电源线是通过响应毗连方法毗连的（装配式）；
UL817是电源线是直接注塑到本体的；
UL498A一样平常中心不带电源线，由一个插头转换为多个插座或是差别结构间转换。 

2. UL498插座的分类：
北美市场上有许多差别类型的插座：直片插刀式(straight blade)、扭锁式(locking-type)及套管式(pin and sleeve)等。
直片插刀式插座分为四个级别：一样平常级别、医用级别、美国联邦规格及联邦规格医用级别，每个级别均有其奇异的标记要求。我们现在所遇到的一样平常都是家用的插头插座，属于一样平常级别。

3. 适用规模

较量容易混淆的是receptacle and cord connector，区别在于receptacle是用于永世式装置的，而cord connector是可以portable的。

4. 常用术语先容
4.1 RECEPTACLE, SELF-GROUNDING – A receptacle which includes a spring clip or other part to provide for electrical continuity between the grounded device yoke and the mounting screw. 其他同通俗插座，区别在于接地支架与装置螺丝间有一个金属片

4.2 RECEPTACLE, ISOLATED GROUND – A receptacle having the grounding terminal electrically isolated from the system ground when installed in a metallic outlet box or raceway system. 最显着的标记是产品上会有一个橙色三角形标示。功效为镌汰电磁滋扰。


4.3 RECEPTACLE, DUPLEX – A receptacle having two contact devices on a single mounting yoke for flush mounting in a plane surface. 双联插座，也就是统一个面上的有两个插座孔。

4.4 RECEPTACLE, FLUSH – A receptacle which is intended for mounting in or on an outlet box, an outlet-box cover, or a flush-device cover plate for fixed installation on a branch circuit. 一样平常用于装置于接线盒内的永世装置式的插座，装置好后外貌与装置面齐平。

5.常见产品主要结构问题
5.1基本要求：
5.1.1质料：
HB，CTI小于即是3，HWI，HAI见table 8.1，RTI见table 8.2。需要注重的是永世装置式的与portable的RTI要求是有差别的。

5.1.2带电部件

5.1.3端子毗连方法
5.1.3.1. wire binding terminal： 
A terminal in which the conductor is bent around the screw and is clamped directly under the head of the screw when it is tightened. 
a. 10AWG以上的导线不可通过此毗连方法毗连；
b. 这种方法的端子需要有一个向上翘的边或周围需要有阻挡物来hold the wire；
c. 差别电流的产品螺丝尺寸及螺间距要求都差别，见table 12.1；
d. 螺丝尺寸对应表见下面表格。

5.1.3.2 Pressure wire terminal：
A terminal which establishes a connection between one or more conductors and a terminal plate by means of mechanical pressure without the use of solder. 
分set screw type and clamp type,这种端子的压线片厚度至少0.76mm，并且螺纹不应少于两圈；

5.1.3.3 Push-in terminal：
A terminal where the stripped end of a conductor is pushed into the terminal and the clamping pressure is maintained by a spring mechanism, without the use of screws. 
a.接地端子不可用这种结构的毗连方法；
b.端子孔应能插入14AWG的单芯线，但须阻止12AWG的线插入。若有release方法，则孔应不可插入14AWG及以上的导线，且不易被操作到。
c.不可用stranded wire。

5.1.4插片插孔尺寸 
见UL1681或WD 6

5.1.5其他结构问题
5.1.5.1 非接地结构的插座不应允许接地结构的插头插入；
5.1.5.2 插座的装置条mounting yoke厚度至少为1.02mm，还需要镀铜或镍或举行氧化处置惩罚，若是是镀锌的话，需要加做镀层测试。

5.1.6 Marking and installation instruction
5.1.6.1详细要求见table 163.1-163.7
5.1.6.2 常见产品标示
插头：1.公司的名字或商标等：电压、电流；（On the device where visible after installation）
           2.交流标记：“AC”或者“AC only”或者“~”等；（On the device where visible after installation）
           3.剥线长度（端子旁边或者产品说明上面）；
           4.线型，线规，线数（产品上或包装盒上）
           5.“turn and pull”（针对自锁结构，装置后能看到的位置）。

插座：1. 制造商的名字或商标等；（On the device where visible after installation）

           2. 电压、电流：（On the device where visible after installation）
           3. 交流标记：“AC”或者“AC only”或者“~”等；（On the device where visible after installation）
           4. 剥线长度：（端子旁边或者产品说明上面）
           5. Cu wire only（产品上或者产品说明上面）
           6.扭力值：（装置后能看到的位置，或者包装盒，或者包装盒内的产品信息说明上）
           7.装置说明，内容应包括制造商名称或商标，“To Install”, “Installation Instructions”或相关的字样，线规，剥线长度，配线位置说明（标明“White Wire”, “Black Wire”, “Bare or Green Wire”, “Equipment Grounding Conductor”或响应的缩写）。

6.测试
6.1 以下为几种常见产品的测试项目表，每个测试需要几多样品，什么情形下需要做这个测试都在表格里有体现。 

6.2 特殊测试
6.2.1 装配式插头，若其插头body外的face cover（外壳）不是机械牢靠的，而是靠friction的，还需要另外做secureness of cover test(67)，及避免0.76mm的probe插入。
6.2.2 永世装置式的产品与portable的产品的耐压测试值有差别，标准上划定永世式300V以下2500V；portable的只要1000+2*额定值。
6.2.3 Mechanical sequence test：30A以下的set screw type需做，35A以上的setscrew and clamp type都需做。
6.2.4 Push-in terminal 见125-130测试，注重需28天温升测试。
6.2.5 fault current：通俗结构需做116，self-grounding需做116及123，测试点差别。

6.3 一样平常测试
6.3.1 温升测试：注重端子及插片上都要布点（针对插座）

6.3.2 Horsepower overload test：电压电流拜见table 111.2。
